Outdoor Artisan Camp

At Outdoor Artisan Camp your child will be outdoors in nature, learning to create and craft with natural materials and limited modern tools. The projects we work on in camp are inspired by the work and ingenuity of California indigenous people and ancestors around the world who lived close to nature.

As students work on these skills they will be connecting to the natural world by learning about the materials they are using, primarily plants and rocks.
We’ll be exploring natural areas to see where some of these materials live.
Practicing the creative process directly with nature is a fun way for
your child to challenge the creative artist within them.

Skills and projects include weaving, string making, basket making,
printmaking, natural pigments, and sculpture.
