My name is Amy Hay, I am from and live in Orange County in Southern California. For most of my life I have been an artist, for the past 18 years or so I have been a printmaker. I love making woodcuts. I also draw a lot, paint (sometimes on walls), cut paper, take pictures, make sculptures, play with fiber art, sew, and create graphics. I’m always finding new ways to use my creativity.
I do all this in my home art studio, Centaur’s Arrow, in Santa Ana, where I also offer art classes.
I also spend a lot of time outdoors with my husband and Coast Live Oak School exploring, making tools, and temporary art from what is sustainable in our local natural spaces as co-instructor for three of our Weekly Home School Classes.
I started Take A Walk On The Creative Side in 2009 as a new way to share my experiences, processes, images and inspirations.
I hope to inspire others to indulge their creative side and go for walks more often.
Have a creative day!
